Submission Step-by-Step

  1. The first step to get associated with 'AMRITA INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH CONFERENCE 2020 is to complete online registration from the Registration Page.

  2. Cite the registration number while submitting abstracts.

  3. Make sure the appropriate topic is chosen while submitting abstracts.

Abstracts should be related to at least one of the topics listed below.  Papers under all domains with reference to ageing are encouraged.

  • News & Views (This domain has been newly added, exclusively for UG students. Abstracts from this domain will                               be taken up for Poster presentation only).

Applicants should choose the topic that most closely matches the theme of their abstract.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

  1. General guidelines

  • Abstracts should be submitted through the online system following registration.

  • During abstract submission, the preferred mode of abstract submission must be selected: Award/Paper/Poster

  • Abstracts should be structured as Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion and must be within the word count of 300 words.

  • Abstracts identified with plagiarism will be rejected forthwith.

  • All submitted abstracts will undergo a review process by the scientific committee before being selected for the conference, including the format of presentation

  • The presenting author should have registered for the conference. Only one person will be allowed to present for the conference. Presenting author will be given the e-certificate of presentation and the co-authors will be given an      e-certificate of participation, provided they register for the conference.

  • Submission of multiple overlapping abstracts is discouraged.

  • Abstract already published as an abstract or full manuscript or that will be published prior to November 7th 2020 cannot be submitted

  • The decision made by the scientific committee with regard to mode of presentation will be final while giving due preference for the mode of presentation stated by the author.

  • Last date for abstract submission - 15th November 2020

  • The list of abstracts accepted for Award presentation/Paper presentation/ Poster presentation will be updated in the website by 27th of November 2020 and intimation will be sent to your registered mail id.

  • All abstracts should be submitted via the online abstract submission link

In case the delegate is finding difficulty in submission of the abstract, they can email the abstract as an attachment to amritapublichealthconference@gmail.com after completing registration requirements including payment of fees.

Format for Abstracts​:

  • Conference Registration number:

  • Preferred mode of presentation: Award/Oral/Poster

  • Domain selected:

  • Title: must indicate the research design and the research population. Do not use abbreviations or acronyms in the title.

  • Name(s) of Author(s)

  • First author: Type the complete name

  • Co-authors: Type the complete name. The co-authors should be cited in order of their contribution in the study; main contributors should be listed first.

  • Name of the Department/Institution you represent


Abstract: Oral/Poster/Award

Limit the text to 300 words excluding title, name of authors/ Institution and references.

Use subtitles to mark the parts of the abstract (Please follow structured format, indicating following five parts of your abstract)

  • Introduction – provide the background to the problem/issue

  • Objectives – state the purpose of the study (research question) or a hypothesis

  • Methods – methods used to address the objectives

  • Results – the results obtained in summary form

  • Conclusion – a summary of your findings with recommendations


Always define abbreviations and acronyms including standard measures. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears. Each abstract must be complete i.e. it must include all information necessary for its comprehension and not refer to another text.

The word file should be saved as Oral/Poster_Author name

Guidelines for ePoster

  1. The poster must be in English with Times New Roman font. The slide must be in landscape view.

  2. A single slide must be prepared containing the presentation in the format of Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusion.

  3. While preparing the slide, please make sure that the slide size is selected as 'Widescreen (16:9)'. 

  4. The slide has to be saved and shared  in the PDF format

  5. The poster must contain the title, authors’ name & the department/institution which the presenter/author represents

  6. The e-poster should be sent to the conference mail (amritapublichealthconference@gmail.com) by the 30th of November 2020

  7. Poster presentation will be for 3 minutes followed by 2 minutes for Questions and Answers

  8. All posters selected for the conference will remain in the conference website for the duration of the conference.

Guidelines for Oral Presentation

  1. The presentation MUST BE in English.

  2. The presentation must be prepared for a total time of 7 minutes: 5 min for presentation and 2 min for Questions & Answers.

  3. Please note that Session Chairperson has the right to terminate your running presentation in case you exceed the allotted time.

  4. Presenters MUST ENSURE that there is no copyright and trademark violation in their presentation. Appropriate source, reference must be given.

  5. Presentation Schedule will be intimated in advance.

Guidelines for Award Paper

  1. Delegates who are interested in Award Paper Presentation are instructed to submit Complete Paper along with abstract on or before the 15th of November 2020. 

  2. The submission should be in English with a word limit not exceeding 2500 words (excluding abstract, references, author name)

  3. Research paper which has been submitted/presented/published will not be accepted

  4. It should be in MS Word format (.doc/.docx format). No other format will be accepted

  5. The word file should be double spaced with Times New Roman font, font size of 12 and justified.

  6. It should be in the standard IMRAD(introduction, methods, results and discussion) format

  7. The word file should contain title of the study, names of the authors and co authors, abstract and main text

  8. Abstract should be in the format provided above (For more info, please read 'Guidelines for Abstract Submission')

  9. The abstract should be submitted via the abstract submission link by  selecting 'award category' and then the full paper should be sent to  amritapublichealthconference@gmail.com 

  10. Award paper presentation will be for 7 minutes followed by 3 minutes for Questions and Answers
